All this week I’ve been giving you several easy and delicious breakfast recipes to help you break out of the norm and get your day started with a fat burning meal that sets the tone.
Well, it doesn’t get any easier than having a protein smoothie for breakfast.
Smoothies are really simple, really fast, and really delicious.
Another HUGE advantage of smoothies is that you can have one practically any time of the day to keep your metabolism boosted and burning calories.
The easiest smoothie recipe I can give you goes like this…
- Find your blender.
- Pour in 1 to 1 ½ cups of milk (low fat, coconut, or almond).
- Put in 1 heaping scoop of your favorite protein powder (whey or casein).
- Throw in a good handful of your favorite frozen fruit mix.
- Blend for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Pour into a glass.
It’s that simple. I don’t need to put my usual recipe outline up for this blog post because you’ve probably done a smoothie at some point in your life.
But what I do have for you is a link to a site that has 48 protein shake/smoothie recipes for you to check out.
This way you can get more ideas. I recommend that you don’t pay attention to any of the ads they have for their suggested protein powder. Just look at what basic ingredients they are using.
As for protein powders I recommend Optimum Nutrition Whey or Casein protein.
