This week I present to you “Naked” Turkey Burgers with Grilled Red Potatoes!

This is a versatile recipe that you can cook on the grill or indoors on the stove top.

You can also skip the potatoes and just dress up the burgers traditionally with whole wheat buns, lettuce, tomato, etc.

I’m looking forward to do this one several times during the summer.

Makes: 4 servings

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20-25 minutes

Turkey Burger:

1 lb. extra lean ground turkey
1 egg white
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
Red Potatoes: 
16 oz. red potatoes, halved
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp each: garlic powder, parsley, black pepper, sea salt (if desired, to taste)

1. Fire up the grill!
2. Combine all ingredients for turkey burgers together in a large bowl.  Mix well using your hands.  Divide the mixture into 4 even parts and shape into 4 patties. Set aside.
3. Put red potato halves in a bowl and toss to coat with olive oil. Add seasoning and stir to evenly coat potatoes.
4. Place potatoes on a piece of aluminum foil and throw on the grill.  After 10 minutes, add the burgers to the grill and cook to your desired temperature.  The potatoes should be done by the time the burgers are cooked (stab with a fork to ensure desired tenderness).

Nutrition Facts per serving: 275 calories, 35 grams protein, 30 grams carbohydrates, 2 grams fat.
